Splitends Yelp Deal

Challenge: 
Splitends was offering a promotion through Yelp Deals that was only available for purchase for 36 hours. They wanted the maximum results from the promotion, with an added presence in ads during the 36 hours the deal was available.
Stragegy: 
Based on communication with Splitends owner Chris Hall, as well as representatives from Yelp, in the month leading up to the promotion, Blink came up with a plan to advertise for the promotion across all available platforms. We created a custom Facebook landing page, Facebook ads, a landing page on the website, as well as a set of banner display ads to be served on Google search results. During the promotion, we changed all links from ads to point directly to the page to purchase the deal, and we also posted about the deal on StumbleUpon and Craigslist to increase its visibility. We also heavily promoted the deal on Facebook and Twitter in the weeks leading up to the Deal and during the deal.
Success: 
The Yelp Deal was purchased over 100 times, and was considered a success. The deal brought a lot of traffic to Splitends initially, and has helped contribute to continuing customers over the months after the promotion ended. It also helped to bring exposure to the other services Splitends offers other than just haircuts. All in all, the Yelp Deal promotion was a profitable endeavor for the client.
